John Z., Former Dean of Arts and Sciences, Kendall College
April 12, 2001
To Whom It May Concern:
John Salzer has asked that I write a letter of recommendation concerning his interest in an administrative position at your institution.
Be assured that I am most happy to comply with his request as a friend and colleagues; however, I am certainly not supportive of his leaving Kendall College.
In the nearly four years that I have worked with John, I have always found him to be most industrious, congenial and supportive. His accomplishments as Associate Registrar have been outstanding. As a professor and dean, I have always found him to be most cooperative and informative. I have never known him to refuse any request and always to furnish more than what I had asked for. I have a deep appreciation for his many contributions to the College and to me personally. He has been an amazingly productive individual, able to handle any administrative task given to him. He has been the major contributor behind most College publications, and a catalyst for improving our academic policies, (including withdrawal, incomplete/default, credit by experiential learning, transfer, proficiency examination, residency requirements and service members opportunity college), registration and advising procedures. He is thoroughly conversant with our computer information systems and has been helpful to others who are not as skilled. I am confident that all those who have worked with John at the College would say that he is a gifted member of the College community who possess positive and creative organizational and people skills.
If I can be of any further assistance in regard to John's candidacy, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely yours,
John Z.
