Theresa E., Former Director of Career Planning, Kendall College
October 27, 1999
To Whom It May Concern:
It is my sincere pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of John Salzer. I have known Mr. Salzer for one year as a member of the professional staff of the Registrar's Office at Kendall College. From the outset, he impressed me as an articulate, capable, and highly motivated person whose work always reflects his professional excellence and his outstanding work ethic.
Mr. Salzer is responsible for numerous duties in the Registrar's Office which he carries out in an easy and well organized manner. Because he has a genuine interest in his work, he carries out all tasks with promptness and sureness. There never seems to be a project that Mr. Salzer would not undertake with great enthusiasm. I have found him to work well with faculty, college administrators, staff, and students even during the most hectic times. As a professional Mr. Salzer continually offers insightful and constructive solutions to my questions as they relate to college matters. Mr. Salzer's understanding of his department and his ability to integrate that vast knowledge and expertise to general College operations, has resulted in a highly functional educational environment.
As the former Registrar/Director of Academic Affairs at Loyola University Chicago, School of Law, I am aware of the broad range of areas that a Registrars Office handles. These responsibilities include the management of the complete registration process, the supervision, creation, maintenance and certification of academic records, and the preparation of all course schedules, certifying degrees and certificates. When these integral needs of the Registrar's Office have been sufficiently fulfilled - as they have been to an outstanding degree at Kendall College - it is possible to delegate additional responsibilities to professional staff such as student advising and departmental consulting regarding ongoing academic issues. Mr. Salzer has stepped into such an advanced position in his office and has become an integral part of a department which reflects his professionalism, personal initiative and excellent organizational skills.
Mr. Salzer receives my highest recommendation and my best wishes for continued success in the future. I think he would be an excellent candidate for any prospective employer in the business or academic setting.
Best regards,
Theresa E.
