To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for our Associate Registrar, Mr. John Salzer. John came to Kendall College in November, 1997 and I had the pleasure of interviewing John and signing his first contract when he agreed to become a member of the Kendall College Registrar Office team.
John came to Kendall during a time of transition. With new people in place, a new computer system ready to be utilized, and students needing help, John began from day one to be a positive and constructive influence in the Registrar's Office. John was a good fit with our new philosophy to be more customer centered and more student oriented. He immediately became a point of contact for students needing help and assistance. Students now go into the Registrar's Office and come away with their needs having been met or at least the right direction for solving their problems. This user friendly office is attributed to John's warm and approachable personality. I have only heard good things and witnessed John's positive regard for students and their need for support and assistance.
During a period of time between Registrars, John was the stabilizing influence. Although we could not convince him to consider taking the position, he worked long hours to keep the office efficient and effective in addressing student, faculty, and administration needs. John was very important to us during this transition period.
John has also worked well with our faculty. He has helped to streamline our programs, including such difficult concentrations as Early Childhood and the adult night program. He developed workshops for faculty to learn more about our software computer programs for academic applications.
Generally John has been a very constructive and positive influence at Kendall College. If there is need for discussion about this recommendation, I would be pleased to help in any way possible. John has much to offer education and I trust he will continue to contribute in this area.
Sincerely,
Norman M.
